One of the largest estate renewal projects in Europe - a new masterplan and future phases require ongoing consultation and communications with the engaged and active community.

Existing site:
Post-war housing estate spanning the areas north and south of Seven Sister’s Road at Manor Royal, near Finsbury Park. Current site needs regeneration due to modern suitability, damp and other structural issues
Includes green spaces, a MUGA and communitycentres.
Scheme deliverables:
2,901 homes, including 654 social rented homes and 476 shared ownership homes
Open space - 4.5 acre public park and adventure playground at Spring Park
Facilities - 4,000sqm of commercial and community facilities delivered
Investment - over £12 million contributed to support local infrastructure and £5 million towards education, skills and training
Jobs - On target to achieve over 365 apprentices.
Working closely with ‘Hackney Works’ to help find jobs for local people.
Communications undertaken:

Focussed community workshops
Webinars and walkthroughs
Shaped the consultation programme plan and KPIs
Worked with an Independent Tenant and Leaseholder Adviser (ITLA)
Attended regular Design Committee meetings
Produced qualitative and quantitative feedback and engagement reports
Used incentives to encourage participation (vouchers, pizza van ‘drops’ and live sport screening)
Volunteered at the local foodbank Woodberry Aid
Developed an engagement platform on Commonplace
Managed project in-box and queries
Produced feedback loops and newsletters
Written Statements of Community Involvement at every
stage.
Status of scheme:
Phases 1 and 2 are completed
Phase 3 is under construction
Phase 4 application has recently been approved
Masterplan application to be submitted shortly.
